Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Krystal P. Lebrón Ortiz is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care and building lasting relationships with pets and their families.
Dr. Lebrón Ortiz earned her undergraduate degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from the State University of New York at Fredonia before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. Following veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Auburn University, further developing her clinical knowledge and skills. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, dentistry, and client education. She believes that empowering pet owners with knowledge and guidance is an essential part of helping their pets live happy, healthy lives.
Dr. Lebrón Ortiz is excited to serve the Raleigh/Durham community and is especially passionate about connecting with and supporting Spanish-speaking pet owners. She values making veterinary care approachable, accessible, and welcoming to families from diverse backgrounds. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Lebrón Ortiz enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and discovering local food gems. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with pets and their families and being a trusted partner in their lifelong health and well-being.
