Veterinarians
Our experienced veterinarians are eager to meet all your pet's health care needs. Dr. Karl, Dr. Reeves, Dr. Blumberg and Dr. Borst have over 45 years of collective experience.
Dr. Shelli Karl, hospital owner, is a 1983 graduate of The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical School. She came to North Carolina initially for an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at North Carolina State Veterinary Teaching Hospital and has continued to work in this area, bringing this special training to Falconbridge Animal Hospital and Village Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Keri Reeves graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After graduating, she moved to Massachusetts to practice small animal medicine and surgery. She recently returned to the Triangle area to join the staff at Falconbridge Animal Hospital and Village Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Laurie Blumberg graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. In additional to practicing traditional veterinary medicine, she is board certified in veterinary acupuncture. She has been practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine since 2005. She is also a teaching assistant at The Chi Institute in Florida.

Dr. Tracy Borst graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She practiced small animal
medicine and surgery there for the next 2 years before moving to the Triangle and joining our team. Her interests include behavior medicine and oncology.

Dr. Louise DeLong is a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating she moved to Washington, D.C. where she practiced small animal medicine and surgery at a practice in Dupont Circle. Dr. DeLong moved to Chapel Hill and joined the staff of Falconbridge Animal Hospital in 2011.
