Boarding & Day Care

Boarding Boarding

Falconbridge Animal Hospital's boarding facility is under the supervision of our veterinarians, and trained and caring veterinary assistants. We offer an indoor, air-conditioned/heated boarding facility with large runs and spacious kennels. Our medical hospitalization area is separate from our boarding kennel to protect our boarders from exposure to illness. We welcome clients and their pets to tour our boarding facilities at any time. Holiday times book up fast, so please make your boarding reservations at least one month in advance.

Boarding for Dogs

Dogs are boarded in a spacious facility with large runs and roomy kennels. All dogs are let out individually in a fenced in area where they can run and play three times a day, including weekends.

We feed our boarders premium quality food, the same food we feed our own pets. We are also happy to feed your pet a special diet if requested. Simply bring your own food along when you drop off your pet for boarding.

You may also arrange for our staff to administer any needed medications while boarding. All pets are monitored and checked regularly throughout the day, 7 days a week.

For the safety of your pet, as well as other boarders, we require that your pet's vaccines be up to date before boarding. We can also update your pet's vaccines before boarding if needed. The vaccines required for boarding in our facility are:

Boarding for Cats

We have separate boarding facilities for our feline boarders. Individual cages are spacious enough to allow for a blanket, litter box, and food & water bowl. Depending on space availability we are also able to board cats from the same family together if desired. Availability is limited so reservations need to be made as soon as possible to ensure a spot for your cat.

As with dogs, medications that need to be administered during your cat's stay with us can be arranged. We do require that your cat's vaccinations be current before boarding. The required vaccinations for cats are:

Daycare for Dogs and Cats

We also offer daycare services for dogs and cats. Pets may be dropped off in the morning and must be picked up by 5:30 pm that same day. Dogs that are staying with us for daycare are treated the same as our boarders. They are walked 3 times a day and are monitored throughout the day. Owners are allowed to bring toys and snacks, which will be provided to their pets as requested.

Special Accommodations and Other Services

Many of our clients have work schedules that restrict them from bringing their pet in during the day for an appointment. In order to service those pets and pet owners we offer a "drop off" service on weekdays at no additional charge. We open at 7:30 am so that our clients can bring their pet in before work and then pick them up again after their appointment by 5:30 pm. Should a consultation with the veterinarian be needed or requested, this can be arranged at the time of the drop off in the morning.

Some of our patients have never been boarded before or are nervous boarders and may become anxious during boarding. In these cases, we may be able to offer boarding in a quiet area. However, space is extremely limited and such availability is on a first come, first serve basis.
